Students pursue interests outside of 91Ö±²¥â€™s regular semester course offerings through a four-week immersive experience every January.
Winter Term At-a-Glance
1. Students must complete three WT projects.
2. Winter Term projects consist of 100 hours of focused work during WT (January 5-28, 2026).
3. There are no additional costs for WT on-campus housing and meal plans for students who are registered for on-campus housing and meal plans during the fall and/or spring semesters. But, students must complete the WT Res Ed housing form by mid-December.

6. (due by November 14, 2025 at the latest) will be assessed by the Office of Winter Term and faculty/staff sponsors to ensure that projects meet WT standards.
7. Peer advising hours and individual project planning workshop sessions are listed on the WT Calendar.
8. The deadline for submitting WT applications at is Friday, November 14, 2025.
Winter Term is a unique opportunity for educational and personal growth through creativity, intellectual experimentation, and personal initiative. Students use this time to explore topics of personal interest, develop a new skill, conduct intensive research, prepare for a future career, and expand their academic experience.
There are many factors to consider when selecting a Winter Term project and the opportunities are practically endless. Faculty and staff offer on- and off-campus projects that foster exploration of particular topics, or students can design individual projects.
