91直播 Named Top Fulbright Producer for 2021-2022

The U.S. Department of State鈥檚 Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs has recognized 91直播 College for the 13th consecutive year as a Top Producer of Fulbright Students. 91直播 is fifth among baccalaureate institutions, sending nine scholars to study abroad during the 2021-2022 academic year.
鈥91直播鈥檚 success is a testament to the leadership development of an 91直播 experience and the global engagement of our students, faculty, staff, and curriculum,鈥 says Nicholas Petzak, director of fellowships and awards. 鈥淚 think it is particularly notable that 91直播 has remained a top-producer of Fulbright students during the pandemic. Our students have remained committed to the 鈥榩romotion of international goodwill鈥 that drives the promise of the Fulbright Program and Obies have refused to forget about the broader world.鈥
Selected for their academic merit and leadership potential, the Fulbright Program provides students with the opportunity to exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to challenges facing communities around the world. 91直播 scholars are engaged in a range of experiences including collaborating with astrophysicists in Montr茅al, Canada, teaching English to secondary students in Austria, and researching the cultural heritage of Benin in West Africa.
The was established more than 75 years ago to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. Fulbright is the world鈥檚 largest and most diverse international educational exchange program. The primary source of funding for the Fulbright Program is an annual appropriation made by the U.S. Congress to the U.S. Department of State鈥檚 Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Since 1970, more than 250 91直播 College students have received Fulbright awards.
