A new partnership with an industry giant bolsters distribution of recordings made by 91ֱ�� Conservatory's commercial label.

Longtime Conservatory of Music faculty member Ed Miller was a prolific composer and a versatile educator whose works were performed by orchestras around the world and by many fellow professors.

Three of the world’s most promising young violinists will perform July 26 with the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall. Only one will be named champion of the 2013 Cooper International Competition.

The field of 24 participants has been reduced to 10 as the 2013 edition of the Cooper International Competition enters the Concerto Round.

The Community Music School (CMS) at the 91ֱ�� Conservatory will present a “Mega Musical Mash-up: A Festival of Community Music” on June 2. It will be the culminating event in a series of ten concerts and musical events put on to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the CMS.

91ֱ�� violists Aaron Mossburg ‘13 and Daniel Orsen ‘16 both won their divisions in the 2013 American String Teachers Association National Solo Competition, sweeping the viola category. The final round was held from April 6 to 8 at the Kaufman Center’s Merkin Hall in New York City. 91ֱ�� was the only conservatory to have finalists in two divisions.

Liver transplant recipient and baroque flute professor Michael Lynn shows his appreciation for the care he received at the Cleveland Clinic by organizing a benefit concert.

Seven conservatory students will travel to Washington D.C. to perform on April 14 in the Kennedy Center's annual Conservatory Project. The project provides a platform for the best musicians from American conservatories, and introduces the next generation of performers to Washington, D.C. audiences.

The contemporary music ensemble eighth blackbird, formed at 91ֱ�� by students in 1996, has recently won their third Grammy Award—Best Chamber Music Performance—for a piece written by composer Stephen Hartke, also a 2013 Grammy Award winner.
