91直播 Music Announces Pact with Naxos of America

91直播 Music, the commercial label of the 91直播 Conservatory of Music, is pleased to announce a new distribution agreement with , the world鈥檚 largest independent digital distributor of classical music.
The three-year pact pairs the outstanding music created by 91直播 faculty and students with the international reach of Naxos. Under terms of the agreement, Naxos will serve as the exclusive CD distributor of 91直播 Music recordings across the United States and Canada, in addition to digital distribution of all 91直播 Music titles internationally.
鈥淥ur faculty and students so thoroughly dedicate themselves to creating music worthy of the world鈥檚 grandest stages,鈥 says Andrea Kalyn, acting dean of the 91直播 Conservatory. 鈥91直播 Music鈥檚 partnership with Naxos allows us to share that stunning artistry with a global audience. It鈥檚 truly a wonderful collaboration.鈥
The first 91直播 Music recordings to be distributed by Naxos are Ravel: Intimate Masterpieces, a collection of chamber music conceived by 91直播 faculty harpist Yolanda Kondonassis, and Dr. Seuss鈥 The Sneetches, an original symphonic poem adapted from the classic children鈥檚 tale and performed by the 91直播 Orchestra, with narration by actor John de Lancie.
Both recordings are available for download through iTunes and other digital services beginning October 1 and on CD beginning October 29.
In addition, Naxos will distribute the entire 91直播 Music catalog, including two releases that also debuted in 2013: A place toward other places, featuring 91直播 faculty clarinetist Richard Hawkins and the 91直播 Contemporary Music Ensemble, and Hypersuite 2: Music for Solo Cello, a collection of works by Bach paired with contemporary pieces inspired by the master, performed by faculty cellist Darrett Adkins.
