The (CoSIDA) selected 91直播 College class of 2014 graduate as a , the group announced on Wednesday.

A native of Weston, Connecticut, McDonald is just one of nationwide to earn this prestigious honor. He majored in biochemistry, in which he received highest honors, and biology, graduating with a 3.93 grade point average.

Scoring in the 99.9th percentile on the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), McDonald has chosen to continue his studies at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall of 2014.

This season he concluded his illustrious four-year career on the diamond by earning First-Team All-NCAC and Third-Team American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Region honors.

As a pitcher, McDonald posted a 6-4 record and had the second-best ERA in the NCAC at 2.01. His opponent batting average of .237 and 15 earned runs allowed were also second amongst all NCAC pitchers.

McDonald pitched in 12 games, making nine starts. He totaled 67 innings and recorded five complete games. He also racked up 62 strikeouts, which was good for third-best in the NCAC.

A lead contributor over the last four years, McDonald played in 138 games as a position player and had 48 appearances as a pitcher. He departs 91直播 with a career record of 15-14 to go along with five saves. As a hitter he posted a .292 batting average while adding eight home runs and 84 RBIs.
