Mission
The Center for Learning, Education, and Research in the Sciences aims to expand and strengthen the college鈥檚 commitment to the equity-centered education of future leaders in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

CLEAR is committed to empowering all members of the campus community鈥攕tudents, faculty, and staff alike鈥攖o co-create a learning environment that is equitable, inclusive, accessible, and just. To accomplish this goal, CLEAR will:
- Partner with campus offices, departments, and administration to enhance support for students historically excluded from STEM fields.
- Create programs that foster a sense of belonging and support for students with marginalized identities in STEM, including but not limited to students of color, students with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ students, and women.
- Recruit and train students as change agents in STEM through peer mentoring and academic co-curricular support.
- Provide resources and support to faculty and departments working towards equity and inclusion initiatives.
