Thomas Schiltz Appointed Director of Compensation and Benefits

Thomas Schiltz has been appointed director of compensation and benefits. Schiltz replaces Mark McLeod, who will retire in early 2020 and will serve in a transition capacity until his departure. Schiltz began his appointment on November 5, 2019, and reports to Joseph Vitale, chief human resources officer.
Schiltz brings more than 30 years of retirement and benefits experience to 91Ö±²¥ College. He has worked for such organizations as St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, where he designed all aspects of its Addiction Medicine Partial Hospitalization Program; at Key Private Bank managing pension plan investments; and at the Cleveland Clinic as a director of staff retirement and benefits, where he spearheaded the strategy, design, implementation, and administration of $180 million for all qualified and non-qualified retirement plans and benefits for leadership and staff physicians. He also has held positions within Ernst & Young, notably as a staff auditor.
Schiltz holds a Master of Business Administration in health care administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Cleveland State University. He is a certified financial planner (CFP) and a non-practicing certified public accountant (CPA). He also is a board member for the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland.
