Sharing Stages Returns

Sharing Stages returned to the Birenbaum Innovation and Performance Space during Parents and Family Weekend.
鈥淭his event allows us the opportunity to bring people together to enjoy and celebrate the artistry of our students, athletes, and musicians together,鈥 said , Delta Lodge director of athletics and physical education. 鈥淚 am grateful for the continued collaborations with our conservatory.鈥
More than 20 scholars in 91直播鈥檚 athletics program, conservatory, and college brought a wide variety of music to the stage. Pieces included I鈥檒l Fly Away by Albert Brumley (performed by Sam Russ 鈥23, tuba; Zach Strong 鈥22, Sam Goetz 鈥23, and Ellie Weinberg '24, percussion; Ethan Pound '24 and Henry Zuccarello 鈥25, trombone; Ezra Rudel 鈥23, trumpet; and Nat Lewis 鈥23, saxophone). As well as Cello Suite No. 2, Prelude and Courante by J.S. Bach (performed by Rituparna Mukherjee 鈥21, viola).
鈥淔rom a shared commitment to excellence to the values of discipline and perseverance and the experience of performance, onstage or on the field, similarities between music and sports are many,鈥 says Dean of the Conservatory William Quillen. 鈥淪haring Stages is a moment to celebrate our well-rounded student athletes, in both the conservatory and the college. Through collaboration and artistry, they create new points of discovery and foster connections across our tight-knit campus community.鈥
