Rebecca Belford, technical services librarian, manages the conservatory library technical services team, which is responsible for acquiring, describing, and physically preparing and preserving materials. In her role, Belford also has direct responsibility for cataloging music titles and participates in the shared 91ֱ�� College Libraries’ efforts to continually improve how library materials can be found in the OBIS catalog and other online sources.

Favorite spot on campus?
I’m still enjoying exploring the campus. I love watching the fish in the koi pond outside the conservatory.

Favorite concert?
In the past year, I most enjoyed an open songwriting master class and performance by Rosanne Cash and John Leventhal. Seeing live performances by icons Meredith Monk and Pamela Z was amazing, too.

Favorite class in college?
My undergraduate first-year seminar, Introduction to the American Experience. My professor’s passion for her discipline was inspiring, and the class was my first encounter with truly rigorous writing standards.

Favorite thing to eat?
Pizza.

Last book you read?
I always have multiple books going at once, usually something nonfiction and an audiobook for my commute. I’m almost through listening to the last book in the Land of Stories series and am in the middle of reading The Bagel: The Surprising History of a Modest Bread, by Maria Balinska.
