Michele Kosboth is the director of financial aid and works in the Office of Financial Aid. In her role, Kosboth facilitates students in achieving their educational goals by providing them with financial support. “My role as director is to be both an advocate for the students but also a good steward of our institutional resources,” says Kosboth.

“It's always a balancing act of how to help as many students as much as we can, while still making sure the college is fiscally responsible and sound.” She began the role in July 2019.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?

I haven’t explored the entire campus yet, but I have been enjoying photographing the changes on Tappan Square since I’ve arrived. 

Where did you grow up?

We moved several times between Connecticut and Ohio. I call myself a Yankee, born and bred, but feel very at home here in Ohio. 

What’s your favorite place on earth?

Flood's Cove in Friendship, Maine. I have been going there since I was in high school, with friends from high school. I still go there with them, but now we bring our spouses and children. It’s magical. 

What’s your most regrettable fashion choice?

I grew up in the 70s and 80s. There are too many to choose from, but probably the dress I wore to my first formal dance in high school. My mother brought it home from the store for me because I hated shopping. I wore it and later found out it was from the maternity section. 

What’s your favorite item of clothing? 

I just found these great Birkenstocks that you would never know are Birkenstocks. More than one person has complimented me on them and has been surprised to find out the brand.
