Jimmy Bowen, graduate resident coordinator for theme and identity-based communities, works in the Office of Residential Education Housing. In his role, Bowen works with the area coordinator of the cluster to supervise RAs in four buildings on campus: Zechiel, Langston, Burton, and Barnard. He began the role in August 2019.

Describe your role in six words.

Supervise students, was a student yesterday.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?

I really enjoy my office. I’ve never really had my own office before, so it makes me feel accomplished and important. Also, it has lollipops and a fan blowing on me—so it’s perfect!

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Avon Lake, Ohio, which is about 20-25 minutes from 91ֱ��. 

What's your favorite board game?

I love any sort of trivia game, but Scene-It is my favorite board game (the whole series). I used to make my brother and cousins play it with me until I could memorize most of the questions; I was obsessed with movies as a kid. 

What’s your favorite movie of all time?

I really love the movie Ratatouille. It makes me feel good, and every time I have watched it I’ve found something different that I love.

What’s your favorite concert of all time?

The 1975. I’ve seen them three times, and the combined visual and audio experience is something I have never seen before—it’s amazing.
