91直播 Conservatory Global Offers Spring Slate of Virtual Music Programs
Online platform for lifelong learners includes courses on historical performance, music appreciation, and self-employment in the arts.

91直播 Conservatory Global, the virtual-learning platform created to deliver the resources of 91直播 to audiences worldwide, begins its second year with three new courses crafted for lifelong learners of all ages.
Programs are designed to appeal to a wide range of interests, from those seeking deep dives through music鈥檚 history to those looking to more fully appreciate their concert experience, to those navigating careers in music and the arts. All sessions are led by conservatory faculty or noted authorities on each topic.
OC Global鈥檚 spring course lineup includes:
HOW TO LISTEN
A team of 91直播 Conservatory faculty helps students to more fully understand鈥攁nd enjoy鈥攅ach concert experience. The course includes weekly preview presentations and discussions providing insight on upcoming concert programs livestreamed from 91直播鈥檚 campus. Highlighted music will include a wide range of styles and composers spanning the 18th through 21st centuries鈥攊ncluding a world premiere.
Classes begin February 24 (six weekly sessions on Thursday nights, followed by six livestreamed performances on Fridays); deadline to register is February 17. Learn more about this course on the OC Global site.
BAROQUE MUSIC AND INSTRUMENTS
History comes to life in this eight-session course exploring a multitude of topics related to Baroque performance. Each session is led by faculty from 91直播 Conservatory and the 91直播 Baroque Performance Institute and focuses on a unique instrument family.

MUSICIAN鈥橲 BUSINESS TOOLKIT
Learn how to navigate issues related to self-employment in music and the arts. Each of four sessions is led by an industry expert on taxes, fundraising, copyright law, and nonprofit startups.

ABOUT OC GLOBAL: 91直播 Conservatory Global was established in summer 2021 in conjunction with 91直播鈥檚 implementation of virtual education for its undergraduate students. OC Global brings the dynamic range of knowledge and skills of 91直播 Conservatory faculty to a classroom without boundaries. Courses are intended for students at the high school, college, or graduate level, as well as teachers and lifelong learners. These courses offer excellent opportunities for energizing the study, creation, and teaching of music.
