On Friday, September 8, 91ֱ�� Conservatory students, alumni, and faculty will join with musicians of The Cleveland Orchestra and students from the Cleveland Institute of Music and Credo Music for "Help After Harvey: A Benefit Concert for the American Red Cross." They are supporting the work of the American Red Cross for those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Louisiana.

James Feddeck ’05, former assistant conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra, will lead the orchestra of 88 musicians in audience favorites including Copland’s heroic Fanfare for the Common Man, Barber’s meditative Adagio for Strings, Stravinsky’s colorful Firebird Suite, and John Williams’ cinematic The Cowboys Overture.

The one-hour concert will be held at Cleveland’s Severance Hall (11001 Euclid Avenue) and begins at 7 p.m.

The concert celebrates the idea that we are stronger when we join together, with this grouping of musicians from the greater Cleveland community serving as a tangible model of that truth. It is made possible through the support of the Musical Arts Association, the Kulas Foundation, and the John P. Murphy Foundation. All musicians involved are donating their time. All of the ticket proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey.

TO RESERVE YOUR SEAT: Tickets are $20 for general admission ($10 students) and are available at the Severance Hall Ticket Office or by calling 216-231-1111 or 800-686-1141 or online at .  The Severance Hall Ticket Office is located on street level in the Smith Lobby.  The entrance and 15-minute Ticket Service parking are along the west side of the building, on East Boulevard.  Severance Hall Ticket Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
