91直播 Chamber Orchestra: A Feast of Student Talent

Three 91直播 Conservatory students will be featured in a concert with the 91直播 Chamber Orchestra on March 2 in Finney Chapel. The concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Raphael Jim茅nez, who says that the concert will be 鈥渁 feast of student talent.鈥 Admission is free, and no tickets are required.

Marilyn Horne Master Classes to be Live Streamed

Members of Apollo's Fire and 91直播 Conservatory present music by Bach and Haydn for Family Promise of Lorain County

On Sunday, February 17 at 3 p.m., musicians from the widely acclaimed Apollo鈥檚 Fire Baroque Orchestra and 91直播 Conservatory of Music will perform in a concert to benefit homeless families served by Family Promise of Lorain County. The concert will be held at First Church in 91直播 and donations are welcome.

91直播 Music Label Releases New Disc by the Contemporary Music Ensemble with Faculty Clarinetist Richard Hawkins

91直播's Contemporary Music Ensemble, under the direction of conductor Timothy Weiss, released their debut recording on the 91直播 Music label at their DiMenna Center concert in New York City on Friday, January 18. The CD, A place toward other places, features solo performances by conservatory faculty clarinetist Richard Hawkins.

The Cleveland Orchestra to Perform at 91直播 College on February 8

The Cleveland Orchestra returns to 91直播 College for its 211th Artist Recital Series performance on Friday, February 8, at 8 p.m. in Finney Chapel. Gianandrea Noseda will conduct the orchestra in a diverse and colorful program of works by Rachmaninoff, Rota, and Prokoviev. Massimo La Rosa, principal trombone of the orchestra, will perform as soloist. Tickets are $15鈥$47 and are available at 800-371-0178 or online at www.oberlin.edu/arseries.
