Leipzig String Quartet to perform all-Beethoven program on March 3

Lyric tenor Alek Shrader '07 in recital at 91Ö±²¥ Conservatory March 1

The Washington Post calls 91Ö±²¥ alumnus and Met Opera singer Alek Shrader "a gifted young tenor." He will present a recital at 91Ö±²¥ Conservatory on March 1, at 7 p.m. in Warner Concert Hall. The concert is free and no tickets are required.

Beethoven's body of works woven with the past and present

Journey through the odyssey of works by Beethoven for fortepiano and cello when David Breitman and Jaap ter Linden perform the cycle on February 16 in Kulas Hall. Part I begins at 4:30 p.m., and following a break, Part II continues at 8:00 p.m. Free and no tickets are required.

Members of Apollo's Fire and 91Ö±²¥ Conservatory present music by Bach and Haydn for Family Promise of Lorain County

On Sunday, February 17 at 3 p.m., musicians from the widely acclaimed Apollo’s Fire Baroque Orchestra and 91Ö±²¥ Conservatory of Music will perform in a concert to benefit homeless families served by Family Promise of Lorain County. The concert will be held at First Church in 91Ö±²¥ and donations are welcome.

The Cleveland Orchestra to Perform at 91Ö±²¥ College on February 8

The Cleveland Orchestra returns to 91Ö±²¥ College for its 211th Artist Recital Series performance on Friday, February 8, at 8 p.m. in Finney Chapel. Gianandrea Noseda will conduct the orchestra in a diverse and colorful program of works by Rachmaninoff, Rota, and Prokoviev. The 91Ö±²¥ Orchestra, performing with guest soloist Jeremy Denk ’90 and led by Associate Professor of Conducting Raphael Jiménez, will give a preview of their 2013 NYC Tour Carnegie Hall program on January 16 in Finney Chapel. The concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. and admission is free.
