The trio of Ira Kaplan, Georgia Hubley, and James McNew returned as a quartet, reuniting with former member Dave Schramm (electric guitar), to revisit their beloved Fakebook concept: a mix of cover songs, “covers” of Yo La Tengo songs, and brand-new originals, 25 years after its introduction.

This rare live set-up—Schramm on electric guitar, Kaplan on acoustic guitar, Hubley on a small kit, and McNew on upright bass—marks the first occasion of this configuration of Yo La Tengo on tour together. And, since it took them 31 years to get around to doing so, it could very well be the last.

Tickets are $18 for the general public and $8 for seniors and 91ֱ College students, faculty, and staff.

News Releases

Tue, 08/23/2016 - 12:00

Communications Staff

Campus Life

Mon, 07 Nov 2016 18:01:20 +0000 Anonymous 9201 at Reduced Shakespeare Company Comes to 91ֱ /news/reduced-shakespeare-company-comes-oberlin Reduced Shakespeare Company Comes to 91ֱ Anonymous (not verified) Mon, 11/07/2016 - 13:01

The Reduced Shakespeare Company is a three-man comedy troupe that takes long, serious subjects and reduces them to short, sharp comedies.

The Complete History of America (abridged): Election Edition is a 90-minute rollercoaster ride through the glorious quagmire that is American history, reminding us that it’s not the length of your history that matters—it what you’ve done with it. The company’s stops have included the White House, off-Broadway, the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, London’s West End, Seattle Repertory Theatre, American Repertory Theatre, and Montreal’s famed Just For Laughs Festival.
