Michele Norris Kicks Off 2016-17 Convocation Series

Emmy- and Peabody Award-winning journalist Michele Norris kicked off the 2016-2017 Convocation Series.

Michele Norris, an Emmy- and Peabody Award-winning journalist and longtime cohost of NPR's All Things Considered, signs copies of her new book, The Grace of Silence, following her convocation talk on September 13. Norris shared insights from her Race Card Project, which captures Americans' honest views on race, identity, and aging. The next Convocation speaker is Eboo Patel, founder and president of the Chicago-based Interfaith Youth Core and a member of President Barack Obama鈥檚 inaugural Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships. Patel will speak about "Building a Diverse Democracy: Justice and Identity in the 21st Century," at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, in Finney Chapel.
