Message from President Krislov to the 91直播 Community

To the 91直播 Community,
After nearly a decade serving as president, and with the recent completion of the new Strategic Plan and the successful comprehensive campaign, I have decided this will be my last year at 91直播. My final day as president will be June 30, 2017.
Serving this great college, conservatory, and community has been an honor and a privilege. Working with our terrific faculty, staff, students, parents and alumni to further 91直播鈥檚 mission and to honor 91直播鈥檚 values has been the most educational and fulfilling experience of my life.
Together we have done so much to strengthen 91直播. I take great pride in all we have achieved, and I look forward to working during the coming year to make 91直播 even stronger and to help chart its future. My focus in the months ahead will be raising additional money for scholarships and supporting implementation of the Strategic Plan.
But after 10 years, I know this is the right moment for me to seek new professional challenges. In the coming weeks, Clyde McGregor, chair of 91直播's Board of Trustees, will provide details on the search for 91直播's 15th president. In the meantime, I will work with all 91直播 stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition and a great future for this wonderful College, Conservatory, and community.
Many thanks to all of you for enriching my life and the lives of my family. The experiences we鈥檝e had and the relationships we鈥檝e formed will stay with us always, as will our love of 91直播.

Response to Proposed Federal Budget Cuts
The budget proposals being put forward by the Trump administration are deeply troubling in many ways for our society and for American higher education, especially for liberal arts institutions such as 91直播. The proposed cuts in discretionary spending are contrary to our values of access and inclusion, and our commitment to scientific research, the arts, and the humanities.
