The annual campaign raises funds for four organizations that provide a variety of services in 91Ö±²¥ and nearby communities.</p> <p>91Ö±²¥ Community Services, the 91Ö±²¥ Early Childhood Center, the United Way of Greater Lorain County, and Greater Cleveland Community will be the recipients of this year’s campaign. Visit this <a href="/node/4401" target="_blank">webpage</a> to learn about these organizations.</p> <p>Community members are encouraged to contribute generously to these organizations by completing the pledge form found on the above-linked webpage. The pledge form provides options for payroll deduction and one-time gifts. The 91Ö±²¥ community’s commitment to social justice is made possible by community members’ generous charitable giving, which help to sustain families in difficult circumstances.</p> <p>This year, President Marvin Krislov, 91Ö±²¥ City Schools Superintendent David Hall, and City Manager Eric Norenberg, along with the Office of Community and Government Relations, have selected 91Ö±²¥ Community Services, the 91Ö±²¥ Early Childhood Center, the United Way of Greater Lorain County, and Greater Cleveland Community as recipients of campaign funds.</p> <p>Information about these organizations can be found below. Visit the provided links to learn more about the organizations, their constituents, and ways to get involved.</p> <h3>91Ö±²¥ Community Services</h3> <p><a href="http://www.oberlincommunityservices.org/">91Ö±²¥ Community Services</a> is a responsive community organization that provides support and emergency assistance to people in need from 91Ö±²¥ and nearby communities. While its mission has not changed, the organization is looking for new and creative ways to end poverty in the community. Last year, 91Ö±²¥ Community Services saw a 41 percent increase in the number of households served, a 61 percent increase in seniors, and a 33 percent increase in new clients. It has engaged the community and partners alike in planning efforts and is Planting Seeds for Economic Growth and Sustainability in the community.</p> <h3>91Ö±²¥ Early Childhood Center</h3> <p><a href="http://www.oberlinearlychildhood.org/">The 91Ö±²¥ Early Childhood Center</a> is a nationally accredited, two star-rated early care and education program that provides comprehensive childcare services to community members of all income levels and nurtures the healthy growth of young children and their families.</p> <h3>United Way of Greater Lorain County</h3> <p><a href="http://www.uwloraincounty.org/">The United Way of Greater Lorain County</a> contributes to a strong, supportive community by raising and distributing funds to provide basic needs, nurture children and youth, and strengthen families. It strives to establish partnerships that focus on collaborative problem solving, high accountability standards, and resource development.</p> <h3>Greater Cleveland Community Shares</h3> <p><a href="http://www.communityshares.org/">Greater Cleveland Community Shares</a> is Cleveland’s only workplace giving federation with a focus on social justice and the second largest of its kind in the country.
