/news/week-photos-fireflies <span>This Week in Photos: Fireflies</span> <span><span>ygay</span></span> <span><time datetime="2021-11-04T14:28:45-04:00" title="Thursday, November 4, 2021 - 14:28">Thu, 11/04/2021 - 14:28</time> </span> <div class="text-content field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item"><p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Halloween brought out a capacity audience, many in costume, for last week’s <a href="https://flic.kr/s/aHsmX3ZePg" target="_blank">Friday Night Organ Pump concert</a>. The program, an 91Ö±²¥ College <a href="/news/broadway-fun-meets-sunday-morning-church" target="_blank">tradition since 1992</a>, features students from the 91Ö±²¥ Conservatory <a href="/organ" target="_blank">Organ Department</a> on the C.B. Fisk, Opus 116 organ. Toward the end of the concert, students are invited on stage to feel the vibrations of the organ as it is played. Originally intended to present the organ as an instrument independent of religious services, Organ Pumps are a monthly tradition that contain a mix of complete wackiness and legitimate musical performance.
