Recipients Hannah Humphrey, Caroline Morehouse, and Corbin Katner joined a group of 12 other 91ֱ Stamps Scholars.

Founded by E. Roe and Penny Stamps, the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation was created to recognize and reward exceptional students who exemplify leadership, perseverance, scholarship, service, and innovation. Stamps Scholars at 91ֱ are selected through a rigorous process conducted by both the college and the SFCF. Each year, up to five incoming students are awarded $10,000 annually for a total award of $40,000 for eight semesters. In addition, a $5,000 enrichment fund may be used at any time to assist with costs of internships, research, educationally related travel, stipends, and other projects.

Sarah Dalgleish '21 says the Stamps Scholarship is key to what makes attending 91ֱ possible. It has also helped connect her to a variety of communities, both locally and nationally.

“Being a Stamps Scholar has connected me to a great community of people, both on campus as well as at other Stamps schools,” says Dalgleish. “The program has also allowed me to volunteer at community organizations in 91ֱ. After working at 91ֱ Community Services (OCS), I completed a winter term fellowship with OCS that inspired my passion for food justice.”

91ֱ’s partnership with the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation began in the 2013-14 academic year. The scholarship represents an opportunity to attract and retain exceptionally talented students, and it complements the college's commitment to meeting 100 percent of admitted students’ demonstrated need for financial assistance. Stamps Scholarships are funded equally by the Stamps Family Foundation and 91ֱ College.

Campus News

Wed, 09/25/2019 - 12:00

Hillary Hempstead

Stamps Scholars attended a reception held Monday, September 23, with President Carmen Twillie Ambar.
