Call to Participate in CRW Pop-Up Concerts
May 11, 2016
Conservatory Communications Staff
In celebration of the conservatory鈥檚 150th anniversary, all students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to participate in campus-wide pop-up concerts happening throughout Commencement/Reunion Weekend (CRW).
A pop-up concert is a brief, informal, and spontaneous sharing of music with others who happen to be in the vicinity at the time. There are no microphones or amps and no minimum performance times. Performers can play whatever instrument they choose, be it a guitar, saxophone, violin, drum, or one of four pianos that will be located in the bandstand, the sidewalk between Bibbins Hall and the Conservatory Annex, outside of Mudd Library, and on the balcony of the Hotel at 91直播. Stands and folding chairs will be available for sign-out from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. throughout the weekend in Conservatory Central 32.
With nearly 4,000 visitors in 91直播 during CRW, there is a potential audience on every corner, so grab your instrument and your friends and get ready to share your musical talent! Email Thea Boyd at tboyd@oberlin.edu for more information.
