2022 Cooper Competition Field Narrowed to Six Violinists

Round Two recitals will take place Wednesday afternoon and evening in Warner Concert Hall

Each artist will perform on Wednesday, August 17 for the chance to perform in Friday's Concerto Finals with Canton Symphony Orchestra in 91直播 Conservatory's Warner Concert Hall.

After two sessions of Round One competition on Monday and Tuesday, with all seventeen violinists performing 30-minute programs, jury deliberations in the 2022 Cooper International Competition for Violin have yielded six candidates to move on to Round Two. 

The following six participants have been selected to advance:
Bianca Ciubancan, 16,  Chicago, Illinois | U.S.A
Sameer Agrawal, 17, Chicago, Illinois | U.S.A
Audrey Goodner, 16, Reston, Virginia | U.S.A.
Kento Hong, 16, Edgemont, New York | U.S.A.
Seohyun Kim, 13, Seoul | SOUTH KOREA
Calvin Alexander, 17, Shreveport, Louisiana | U.S.A

Round Two recitals are each 45-minutes long and will be split into two sessions. The afternoon session begins at 2:30 p.m. The evening session will begin at 7:30 p.m.
