Biography

Joe Bucciero is a visiting assistant professor at 91Ö±²¥ whose teaching interests span 19th– through 21st-century art across media and geographies. He is currently working on his first monograph, New Objectives, on representational painting in 1920s Germany, research for which has received support from the DAAD and the Preußischer Kulturbesitz. His writing has appeared or is forthcoming in publications including The New York Review of Books, The Nation, 21: Inquiries into Art, History, and the Visual, and October.
