Baroque Cello
Our historical performance division offers rigorous study and private instruction in 13 instruments, including baroque cello. Coursework involves applied study on historical instruments, music history, music theory, performance practice, plus a wide range of performance opportunities, including recitals, concerts, and tours.
Students in 91直播's Historical Performance program frequently give concerts in Fairchild Chapel, a 150-seat Medieval-inspired sandstone chapel.

91直播 Baroque Orchestra
There are nearly 500 concerts on campus each year ranging from student, faculty, and guest recitals to small ensemble concerts to performances by the more than 25 student large ensembles, including the 91直播 Baroque Orchestra. From concert to improvisatory music, computer-generated electronic to acoustic, time-tested compositions to newly composed works, the college and conservatory present music that satisfies any interest.
Baroque Cello Faculty
Our historical performance faculty are accomplished teachers, historians, and musicians, who maintain active performance schedules, both on and off campus.
One of the most enriching aspects here is the access students and faculty have to the instrument collections at the Conservatory. By experiencing music through the tools available to musicians and composers of the past, students can deepen their understanding of history, interpretation, and context.
